Choose to skip your daily room refresh during your stay in Newbury and we’ll pour you a complimentary Botanist Gin and Fever-Tree Tonic to enjoy at the bar.
How it works
Our team will ask if you’d like to take part when you check in, and then take care of the rest.
Opting in means saying yes to skipping your scheduled mid-stay refresh, so no towel swap and no tea and coffee top-up partway through your stay. If you do need anything extra along the way, just ask and we’ll happily sort it.
What’s in it for you (and the planet)
Every refresh skipped means less water, less energy and less laundry, which soon adds up across a stay.
It’s a small change that makes a genuine difference and we think that deserves a proper drink to say thank you.
So when you check out having gone green, head to the bar and we’ll have your Botanist Gin and Fever-Tree Tonic waiting.

- Available on stays of two nights or more, running from 1st September to 31st October 2026.
- Open to guests staying at The Coat & Bear or any Heartwood Inns Pub with Rooms.
- Opt in at check-in and skip your mid-stay room refresh, towel change and tea and coffee replenishment.
- One completed stay earns one complimentary Botanist Gin and Fever-Tree Tonic, redeemable during your stay.
- Over-18s only, Challenge 25 applies.
